Her professional memberships include The Cornea Society, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and Texas Medical Association. Following residency, she was offered the Cornea and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at the prestigious Tulane University in her hometown New Orleans, Louisiana. She then traveled to Winston-Salem, North Carolina to participate in the Ophthalmology Residency at Wake Forest University Eye Center, where she was chief resident. McIntire completed a Transitional Internship at the University of Tennessee. McIntire chose the field of ophthalmology because it allows her to interact with patients of all ages and from all walks of life, helping them achieve profound changes in their lives.Īfter receiving her Doctor of Medicine, Dr. McIntire then earned her Doctor of Medicine Degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, where she received the Outstanding Senior Student Award in Ophthalmology.
She attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiotherapy and was a member of the Golden Key Honor Society.ĭr.
She has been recognized with numerous honors and awards throughout her years of education. She has been living and practicing in Austin since 2011.
